President's Welcome Message

Harvey Heckes, President UUCFMWelcome to the Website of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ft. Myers where religion and reason meet.

Our congregation has a variety of activities for adults and children. As you explore our website, we hope you will find an activity that is of interest to you and your family.

Family in our church refers to two parent families, single parent families, gay or lesbian couples with or without children, blended families, and single individuals.

The children in our Church are from newborns to adolescence. Children are encouraged to attend our RE classes on Sunday morning while the parents are in Church. During the summer, we have a Vacation School.

For adult activity, we have a Humanist group, CUUPS (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans), the Federation, the Choir, Wholly Wednesday evening programs, and opportunities to be teachers for our children.

There is a broad age range among our adult members(20+ to 90+).

We invite you to attend Sunday Services which start at 10:30 a.m. As our guest, we would like for you to get a name tag at the Welcome table in the Narthex. The name tag will let us know that you are visiting and our members will seek you out and will welcome you.

After services, please join us for coffee hour where you will have another opportunity to meet our members.

Our Church is in the process of becoming a Welcoming Congregation. It would give us great joy to have you visit and get to know us. Hope to see you soon!

Harvey Heckes, President of the Congregation
